OLIVE OIL SHOP

Project Background
Mission:
E-commerce Revenue Boost

Challenge:
The client's store has not been ranking on top of search engines for the targeted keywords despite having great olive oil products - resulting to sales that were stagnant.

Solution:

Researched for the relevant keywords, studied the competition, added and expounded on the website contents such as testimonials, product descriptions, interesting relevant articles, blogs, and more, and then promoted the website externally.

Results
  • 363% increase in sales, from $1,038 in November 2023 to $4,807 in November 2024
  • 229% increase in website sessions (traffic), from 603 in February 2024 to 1,981 in November 2024
  • Previously only ranking at the bottom of the first page for only 1 relevant keyword. By the end of the project, the website has been ranking at the top 1-2 spots on the first page for the main relevant keywords and 1-5 on product-based keywords/pages.

ELECTRIC BIKE DEALER

Project Background

Mission:

Needed assistance with website management and social media.

Challenge:

Client is preoccupied with store operations and would like to have someone manage the store's website and social media.

Solution:

I took over the e-commerce website with disorganized product information on the various e-bike pages, prices not updated, a lot of misspellings, etc so I had to proofread and edit those mistakes, update the prices, add new bikes, create variants that were not existent before. I also made on-page optimizations and off-page optimizations to help the website rank higher on search engines and get more leads. The client decided in 2024 to switch to Shopify so I created the new website from scratch and make a lot of redirects so as not to waste the link juice and inherit the rankings from the old Squarespace website.

Results
  • 48% increase in users or website visits, from 18,557 in January to October 2020 to 27,402 in January to October 2023
  • I'm not privy to sales data as the client wanted to disable the e-commerce function of the website as the store prices are not in-sync real-time with website prices and creates discrepancies.

ENTERPRISE TECH RECRUITER

Project Background

Mission:

Needed assistance with various virtual tasks.

Challenge:

Client is in his senior years and looked for assistance to help him with various virtual tasks in his business, particularly in website management, social media, and reaching out to both candidates and employers in the recruitment aspect. He previously hired a digital marketing agency but eventually hired me for sustainability.

Solution:

We initially tried the SEO route to try to get leads who are founders and CEOs of enterprise software companies looking to hire a recruiter to find top sales talent for them. However, since the business is too niche and the solution to the problem we're addressing is more like a vitamin than a pain killer, my client decided to switch to an outbound approach instead of inbound. So I helped him create email marketing campaigns to reach out to employers for potential new business, sourcing candidates in LinkedIn Sales Navigator, website management and more.

Results

I eventually ranked the website on top of Google search results for the targeted keywords. Client had a lot more free time with personal leisure as well as more time networking and building relationships with clients and candidates as I'm the one handling the nitty gritty and implementation of the marketing and outreach initiatives. We also found and placed quality candidates much faster with the system and workflow we have put in place.

BIOTECH LAB SPACE RENTAL

Mission:

Local Business Visibility via SEO and Google Ads

Challenge:

Website only ranked 4th on one particular targeted keyword in its town location. Most leads or sales came from the founder's network and referrals, thus limited.

Solution:

Researched for relevant keywords, studied competitors, added website contents and articles to rank high on search engines in other locations outside the business's town for more leads or inquiries.

  • 67% increase in users, from around 6,000 in 2020 to around 10,000 in 2022
  • 305% increase in leads or inquiries, from 37 in 2019 to 150 in 2022
  • The company experienced 2 consecutive annual business expansions in 2021 and 2022, then acquired by a private equity firm in 2023

WEDDING/EVENTS FLORIST

Project Background

Mission:

Increase leads and get new clients with SEO.

Challenge:

Client previously hired an agency for SEO services. She's freelancing as an events and wedding florist and would like to get steady clients. She spent a lot for some months in said services but didn't get any leads. When we talked, she didn't have enough budget anymore so we agreed on just 2 hours weekly engagement.

Solution:

Researched for relevant keywords, studied competitors, added website contents and pages since the original website has only a few pages and little content. I added dedicated pages for each of her services and different kinds of events she was handling. I also added videos, photo gallery, and more.

Results
  • 35% increase in users or website visits, from 433 in 2019 to 586 in 2020
  • Client started to get 1-2 leads monthly, sending their wedding or events details to get a quotation. I know it's not a lot but still a nice improvement from not getting ranked and not receiving any leads. The florist search ranking competition in Sydney is tough as there's a lot of big florist companies, mid-sized ones and freelancers like my client. Her website didn't rank in the first page since I only spent 2 hours weekly with little budget, but she came up on top 3 in Google Business Profile/Google Maps, which then appears on top of the 1st page search results when looking for "sydney wedding florist".

AD INTELLIGENCE SOFTWARE

Project Background

Mission:

Promote the SaaS product in forums and increase backlinks.

Challenge:

The ad intelligence software market is competitive and with major players already. The client, as a budding startup with no employees wanted to go direct to potential individual users

Solution:

I didn't put a lot of creativity here as the client's approach was for me to just follow their specific instructions - which is to reach out to authors and bloggers of articles writing about software products so we can place the website links in those articles, as well as engage with marketing practitioners in internet forums to promote the SaaS product.

Results

I was able to create collaborations and partnerships with authors and bloggers in the software space and we're able to place the SaaS product's website link in those articles. I have also made a lot of posts on internet forums in the marketing space, promoting the ad intelligence software.
